Posted on: Knitting a Scarf
March 20, 2008, 11:56 AMOH MY!!! This is too cool. First a gardening lesson and now a knitting lesson! Finally I can talk about my hobbies. I lived in Taiwan for a couple of years and never got to the level that I could discuss my hobbies. I love Chinesepod.
Posted on: The ChinesePod Practice Plan
October 25, 2007, 11:31 AMI had practice plans conversations with Aggie for eight weeks (last summer). It was such a wonderful experience. I miss you Aggie! And I wanted to give you an update-- Those few times I've bumped into a native Manderin speaker we've been able to have long free-flowing conversations. It is such a good feeling. Without an exception my Chinese friends are intially shocked and then delighted that an middle-aged white American woman can actually converse with them. The practice plan lessons gave me a lot more self confidence.

October 02, 2007, 03:51 PMSheesh, I think asian eyes are beautiful, but I'm sure not going to have plastic surgery to look like them. I hate to think anyone having surgery to look less like themselves. Still, the lesson was interesting. Catty woman talk. Every culture.

August 02, 2007, 09:24 PMI looked up some helps in the grammar section. Thanks, it is very helpful. One item I'd REALLY like is more help with measure words. I noticed that part of the grammar section isn't up and running yet. Will it be working in the near future? Is there a place on the web to look for common measure words?

June 29, 2007, 11:37 AMI LOVED this lesson. I'm at the upper intermediate level and having an unscripted dialogue (with a few English translations) was a big plus. Do this sort of lesson again. Just thought I'd add something-- I've been learning from Chinesepod for a year and a half now. I don't meet up with that many Chinese people here in my part of the world. Over the past week I've bumped into two different native Chinese speakers and both of them were stunned by the fact that we could talk together very freely and naturally. Thanks Chinese pod. My language abilities have come a long way (but they still have a long way to go).

October 28, 2008, 10:57 PMThat was adorable! Thanks. I really like having to figure things out on my own.
