February 03, 2009, 03:08 AMI confuse 签名的签with 填报的填 tian2 which means fill in. They sound pretty similar to me.. Are these sentences correct: 情签一下你的名在这儿。 情填这分报告。 I think I always thought they were the same word! Thanks.

October 30, 2008, 01:09 AMMy favourite beijing food is yoghurt... You can buy it at most convienence stores. It comes in small clay bottles and you drink it with a straw.. It tastes like the (natural) yoghurt I eat at home.. thick, sour with some sweetness from honey added.. Not like the yoghurt in Zhejiang which is mass produced, thin and very sweet..

October 06, 2008, 12:15 AMI think maybe a problem with traffic in China (or in Hangzhou where I live) is just that there are more and more drivers every year. Plus some roads here aren't built for cars. They're two small. Add to that, the fact that for half the year the government is usually the same roads it rebuilt last year, and you have a lot, a lot of traffic.

July 17, 2008, 07:48 AMI have to say that I think Amber and David here are a little off, at least in Hangzhou, where I live. I taught English at a university and it was very easy for me to see the students in my classes who were boyfriend and girlfriend. Also, there are several hotels around my university, some with hourly rates. I think that students here are less conservative then the Chinese youth David described. For many students though, anything gay is still taboo.
