i'm a chinese who live in chongqing.i could say that i have never heared that anybody put a large amounts of cash at home.so i'm a little shocked on what u r talking about.
and nowadays, many stores, shopping malls...surpport to use credit cards.not only shanghai,but also many places in china.using cards be more and more popular in china now.i always go shopping with a credit card and a little amounts of cash.if i wanna pay something expensive,i'll use my card.so...not just in shanghai,that should be most places in china.

June 22, 2009, 12:01 PMyou could come to chongqing to see whether that's real.some people take buses with cash and some with cards.supermarket,shopping malls,some restaurant...these place, you could use your credit card.but not anybody like pay on card in china.many old people don't like that way, they like pay cash.
