July 22, 2008, 01:47 PMHey, I was thinking as you guys are taking off a lesson can you atleast make the Qing Wen a little better, the show is great, but surely it wouldnt be hard for Connie to put the sentences in one of the tabs for paying users with translations, maybe expansions too?
Also as it seems there are less top end lessons perhaps introducing a few more advanced Qing Wen lessons would level the blance. Just suggestions. :)

July 17, 2008, 07:52 PMGreat lesson, makes a nice change to have a funner upper intermidate. Also, Changye I enjoyed reading your comment. That poor girl studies so religiously and to no avail, lets hope our lingual endeavors are not similar.

June 13, 2008, 12:20 PMHow about "...learnt to enjoy eating it", as hui4 会 can have connatations of learning. Maybe they didn't like all these foodstuffs at first :p

June 13, 2008, 10:58 AM肠粉 is my favourite which thankfully has nothing to do with intestines.
Dim sum desserts are also amazing, my favourite being coconut 西米露. Im not sure if its popular on the mainland.

June 12, 2008, 09:03 PMHow about a lesson on colours and what they represent in chinese culture. Green with envy type of thing. I am aware of a few examples but would love to know more and I think the dialogue could be made to be quite vibrant.

June 11, 2008, 01:00 PMI tell you what, I would imagine newbies are tired of your crazy replies alwingate, not a few characters that they can either easily scroll over and find the pinyin using perakun or using an online dictionary. I think it would be more beneficial if in future, discussions departing entirely from the lesson were made into seperate posts in the community section. Surely we can all agree on this atleast?

June 10, 2008, 03:22 PMI liked the lesson. I agree with Mike a lesson on earthy stems and heavenly branches would be good. Also Dave has a good point, there hasnt been a 'relatively' fun upper intermediate in a while, hopefully you have a good one one the cards.
