Hua2 nan2 hu3 shi4 shenme2 yi4si4 ne? I've been listening to this over and over and I still can't figure out what "Hua2 nan2 hu3" means. I know "Lao3 hu3" means tiger, and I remember hearing "...shi4 yi1 ge zhong1guo2 de hu3." So I know it's about a Chinese tiger. Sorry guys, I'm just at this really weird stage in my Chinese study where I know too much to be a beginner, but then I can't "bridge" into understanding Chinese conversations. I can pick up a lot of words and phrases in this one, but there is so much I don't know. I really wish the PDF included everything Jenny and Connie talked about so I could learn the things I don't know, and listen to it enough times to where I understand the whole conversation. I truly believe this will help me to understand Chinese conversations! -Ken Myers

I enjoy hearing Ken's accent with English words! So perhaps he needs help pronouncing English first before mastering Chinese. He is very funny with Jenny though. Strangely, I think Jenny has a higher English vocabulary than Ken. She surprises me in many lessons with such advanced English words. She uses some words I've never used in my life! But anyways...I hope to someday be able to speak fluently in Chinese, and Jenny is definitely my inspiration. She makes Chinese sound so beautiful! -Ken Myers

Haha, well. Actually after I was done listening to the recording, I found I was wrong. But still, Chinese Pod is great! I would love to see what is said before the dialogue on the PDF with Advanced and Media lessons. This would be very useful for me because I can never "latch" myself on to what Jenny or Connie are saying. I'm at a very weird Chinese level where all I need to do is hear more sentences in Chinese with no English and build my way up.
