请问一下，"拿手菜"和"特色菜"有什么不同呢？是不是"拿手菜"有homemade的感觉？

我还有一个跟“热”有关的问题。前几天我和我朋友吃饭。汤出来的时候我尝了尝，然后我告诉我朋友：“小心！汤很热！”

我知道我说错了，应该说“汤很烫”。那么为什么是

“热菜”而不是“烫菜”呢？还有“热水”，是吧？

So is 照片 zhao4pian1 as in the popup, or zhao4pian4 as Jenny seems to say.  Does the tone change with 儿化音? 照片儿 zhao4pian'er1?

Can anyone provide an etymology for why 有机 uses the same character as 手机 and 机会？

I think it's a great idea to have a little dash 方言 every once in a while.  Cool!  And utterly undecipherable.
