Hi Changye. I love your explanation of Middle Chinese pronunciations and rhymes, both in this and previous lessons. Do you know a good online dictionary or other resource that gives the 中古 pronunciation of characters, or reconstructed pronunciations from other times? Or are there any not-to-hard-to-get and not-to-expensive books that you would recommend?
I'm very interested in phonetics and the history of languages myself, and it is relatively easy to find good resources on Indoeuropean languages. But for Chinese (and most non-IE languages for that matter), I have had a much harder time finding good materials, and what I have found tends to be much harder to read.
