As stated earlier:

"Thank you, Chinesepod, for fulfilling my request!!! You really did a great job. This is PERFECT!

To clarify for those questioning the rules, this is a fictional diaologue created by my request. The Metropolitan Museum is still free, but they do have a strongly suggested donation of $25. And, once you pay, you're free to walk around by yourself through all the exhibits.

However, if anyone's ever visited a governmental building, or a private house/collection, you know that security can be much tighter in such places and you usually will have an escort.

What is the word for "escort," by the way?

Thanks again, Chinesepod!"

I think it partly depends on what time of day it is and how far you're going. My friends would always walk with me to my scooter, or the train station during the day. But they would insist on driving me home, following behind me on their scooters, or walking with me if it was late at night.

Bababardwan, glad to be of some use! Don't expect too much, though. I have a terrible memory, and I'm sure things will start getting foggier overtime. :p

Okay, I'm a newbie saying "hi!" Actually, I'm not so much of a newbie--I lived in Taiwan for four years. But, now that I've left, I've found that I really need to do something to maintain/improve my level of Chinese, or I won't be able to communicate with any of my friends in a few months!

Anyway, although I can't read or write, I can listen and speak well enough. I've gotta say that I heard "xin ku ni le" quite often down in southern Taiwan and this dialogue is dead on for the kind of conversation you can expect at the airport. The writers for this program (I'm referring to all of the podcasts) are truly talented people. I appreciate your hard work (xin ku nimen!) and look forward to studying more lessons in the future! ^^
