July 13, 2010, 06:05 AM杨梅 are also popular here in 高知, Japan. But in most areas in Japan, they don't even know what 杨梅 are. So for a long time, I thought they are eaten only in a small part of Japan! It's good to know that they are popular fruit in China.
By the way, when I was living in South Florida, My neighbor had a big 荔枝 tree in his backyard. I used to eat them for free :)

July 10, 2009, 02:58 PMMy country Japan used to be like China or Korea. But we adopted a kind of western system and made it easy for kids back in 90s. Then our education level has dropped dramatically, now it's probably the worst in Asia!!!
The thing is, there are only few kids who are "willing to study" unless they are forced to...

It's interesting to know that adults can 'play'（玩）in Chinese 'cause we say that in Japanese too! I guess it shows how playful Asian adults are ^_^. Only difference in Japanese is that we use a different character '遊' instead of '玩'. Does '遊' mean 'play' in Chinese as well? Just curious.
