Posted on: Finding a Seat at the Movies
November 22, 2009, 10:24 PMEnjoyed the lesson!
Also, the voice actors for this lesson were really nice. I don't particularly remember hearing these voices before. The female voice was very smooth sounding, and not very high pitched.
Wow you get assigned seats in China? Here in the states, or at least in texas, you just get a ticket and it's a free for all to find a seat you like. In fact, I've never been assigned a seat at a movie.
I like the middle seats in the middle rows. 我喜欢中间靠中排的座位。- 这个句子有什么错误?

November 07, 2009, 05:14 AMWell somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but 互相 or 相互 is indicating that the following verb is being performed on both parties. So 一起 wouldn't be used in the same way, it just indicates whatever you are going to do ya'll are going to do it together. ex: 我们一起去吃饭 Let's go eat out together. You're not going to eat each other right? ;)

April 21, 2009, 06:05 AMWow, the 把 has troubled me from the beginning of my chinese studies. I knew it needed to go in sentences I wanted to say, but i was just really fuzzy on where exactly and why, but this QingWen was super helpful!
This is what I'm talking about. PLEASE keep these kind of lessons/QingWen's acomin’!
谢谢你们!

December 18, 2008, 03:07 AMchangbiyuan, yeah I pretty much agree with you, this show is a great concept, and you gotta have fun when learning, with a little bit of fine-tuning, this will be great. I think what happened was 人 is not a complicated enough character for a 5-6 minute long episode.
I really would hate to see ChinesePod scrap this idea/show. Another suggestion, when the construction vehicle's arm ( I have no idea what it was, I guess I'm not your man's man...) was made in the shape of 人, it was kind of hard to tell. If I didn't know what ren2 was already, I would have had no idea what I was looking for. It wasn't revealed until after this what ren2 looked like. No biggie, but If the radical was overlayed on top of the arm as we see it written, then you would get the "ooh I see it!" response. Or at least, if the arm was revisted after revealing what the radical looked like.
Everything else I really enjoyed about the show, how 人 looks different with other characters, quick view of other characters it's in. And I personally enjoyed the sidekick's transforming ability. He can be coffeetablebot!

December 17, 2008, 10:59 PMI generally agree that this is a great idea, but could be a little better.
You could do something like a vocab tour, instead a radical tour. Overlay the radical over the image of what it is representing. Easy example could be the camera pans up to the clouds, and over the clouds you see a bunch of 云's, or 木's in a wooded foresty area and etc. Just an idea, look forward to what you guys come up with next!

December 07, 2009, 02:45 AMWow guys, this was really encouraging!I've been using the Pleco flash cards, but before I got Pleco I made hand written flash cards. I practice writing characters separately, but I'm going to get back to writing paper flash cards, I think writing the card out helps make it stick, instead of just saving it with Pleco.
