April 14, 2008, 11:33 AMi thought rudd would be all good but he goes to the usa to bad mouth china about the xizang and torch riots and then comes to china and puts it less assertively but still makes it out to be as if there is actually some soft of concern to australia. the gall of someone not involved but trying to tell china what to do is just no right to do so!

April 05, 2008, 02:57 AMactually there is a book called practical chinese reader that is the best book out there gives you insight into chinese culture. if you're going to own a general chinese textbook, that one is the best. there's also one just for 成语 called something like 1000 practical phrases or something like that. these two volumes are must haves

April 04, 2008, 07:49 AMi used to think it wasnt productive to focus on pronounciation at first but every teacher i talked to tells me otherwise because you dont want to develop bad habits since speaking is all neuromuscular and you want to force yourself to do it the right way once and forever. i like the way jenny talks a lot but they should have more of the guys from the dialogues speaking so us guys know how to speak. i find that ken is following the typical female chinese accent
