Is there a convenient way to download lessons?

Okay, I just noticed that the lessons tab is different.  It used to be that I could go there, select a lesson group--say Qingwen, click on that lesson group, and then see a list of those lessons complete with their mp3s and pdfs.  I would then use downloadthemall in Firefox to download them in one batch into their respective folders on my computer.  No, not the system that CPod desinged for us, but yes, the system that worked great for me.  The problem is, now if I click on lessons, I do not have access to the mp3s and pdfs.  I have to click on each lesson individually and then download individually--a major time consumer.

Now, is there a kind soul out there who can tell me, without spending hours of twiddling and looking through how-to manuals, is there an easy way to quickly download all the lessons I need, and also directly download them into the folders I have designated for them?

PS: I like that we can see more lessons on the lesson page now, but because of the above mentioned, it turns out to be a disappointment for me from the technical side of CPod... unless someone can shed some light and show an easier way for me to do what I want to do.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Have you tried bookmark / podcast route?  I found it's the most efficient method, as for my needs.

just one-click bookmark, then itunes does all the downloading.  Not into separate folders, but can sort by track number, pretty easy to organize.

Thanks for replying. I bet your method works well, quite possibly better than mine. But I'm just sort of used to my way. I just found a way to download what I need to download and separate them how I like them. It's not as easy as before, but then again, it isn't that hard.

phil,

think about it now. Cpod is in the business of selling subscriptions. Why would they make it easy to download their entire library in one click, or anything close? It is amazing how many people dont use the site as intended. As a podcast with web backup. Off-label use is up to us, the users pretty much. Actually, I think they are pretty generous in what they allow now. Pray it doesnt change. Just saying.

I know what you mean, but let me just make one thing clear. My prior system is much faster than going to each lesson page separately and downloading each mp3 and pdf one at a time. However, it is far from a 'download every single file on CPod in one stroke' button. It would take a while to get all lessons downloaded through this manner as I could do I think 10 lessons at a time, and I still had to specify which files I didn't want (in my case, the CD quality mp3s). Also, I did this in little bunches at a time, probably no more efficient than the RSS feed. I just say this so hopefully I don't look too greedy. At any rate, I found another method that works dandy for me, although I would still prefer to do it the other way.

I understand. I wasnt being critical of you, just pointing out another view. I have my favorite work-arounds also and every time they make a change, I too have to adjust, but its to be expected I guess.

Hello,

could someone explain the bookmark/itunes method in  a bit more detail? I can't find how to bookmark easily and haven't used itunes much (though very familiar with computers).  (Have subscribed to ChinesePod)

Thanks! :)

I think you can still use  your old method, if you go to library -> channel -> qing wen
