Bazza would be ready at the switch to help out with CP upgrades. ;)
More seriously, as can be found online, I see Bazza has jumped out of an airplane and been hot air ballooning. He can't fool me that he doesn't have the guts to move to Shanghai for a year of so. I can't imagine a better time to do something like this than when you are single and young.
Besides, paying off credit cards is a good thing. In China, you'll be a cash man.

He'd finally have an excuse for wearing his kung fu outfit around the house.

Bazza you are young and single - dont hesitate and dont look back. Buy a ticket - take a ride.

Bazza's friends and family get to live vicariously through his wonderful adventure in the far east.

Because Bazza would get to quit his job
sell his car and most of his possessions
close his bank accounts and pay off all his credit cards
and have great stories to share with his friends and family when he returns!

I did get asked if my hair was natural, why would I deliberately make my hair like this? hehe

#8 What Shanghai lacks in culture, it makes up in proximity to places with culture. ;)

On the lame excuses page you posted reasons not to take a trip for a year or so. I must say that every single expat at Cpod did the exact same thing... Aric, Eileen, Amber, Ken, Dave, Hank, Steve, Clay, John and JohnB all did exactly what you did, and they're still happy. Do it, Bazza. Do it. Waddaya need? a plane ticket, we can chip in miles. Your credit cards don't have to be paid off, you don't need money, you'll have enough to live off of after the sale of your car. Come on, Bazza. The Time is now. Or as Bruce Buffer "The Veteran Voice of the Octagon" would say... "IT'S Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime"
