Visiting the main office

does anyone know any decent but somewhat cheap hostel I might stay at while in Shanghai? I plan to be there in January.

Oh yes.. and just nearby there is a great "bread products" shop where you can get a really tasty breakfast that is not too Chinese and then sit in the park across the road from the hostel! :) That's not to say there are no Chinese food places around.. I mean.. it is China afterall.. but the point is that sometimes, especially in the morning, you really want to get a decent cup of coffee and some bread products in to you! :)

Try "Blue Mountain Youth Hostel".. Last year I would have said "City International" on Wunning Lu (near Caoyang Lu Subway Station) but when I was there earlier this year it seemed so unfriendly and "standard" by comparison to Blue Mountain. The Blue Mountain one is a little smaller but has a much friendlier atmosphere.

When you go to that website there is actually 2 locations. The one I stayed in has been renamed to "Blue Mountain EXPO" because it was one of the closest hostels to the expo.

Wooot! I'm hoping to come and visit for my 3rd time! I'm becoming a regular! :p lol.. I consider the hosts of ChinesePod to be my extended "Chinese" family, as I do all of my Chinese-based friends! So going to see them all is like that for me.. even if they get a little shy around my camera :) hehe..

We are always open to visitors! Just drop us a line - some days are better to visit than others as it's more fun when we're in the studios recording.

I plan to finally visit the office if I am still welcome.... I hope to be there this week or next... that is my plan anyway.... would this be OK?
