Dictation exercise

I have been trying to do the dictation exercise with no luck. I am doing the traditional characters with the Taiwanese DZUJIN or BPMF and it does not give me the option of choosing the character. Am I doing something wrong? How does it work, will I have to use the pinyin?
Thanks
Cornelia

January 10, 2011, 03:41 AMI was able to successfully use the ZHUIN input on my computer. It sounds like the issue you are experiencing is related to your computer system. I'm not terribly familiar with zhuin though, so I'd recommend googling the problem.
One thing I did find is that after finding the character I wanted, clicking into a different text box "saved" it in the original text box. This might just be because I don't know how to use Zhuin though :)
As for corenliamcleod's question about entering in English - unfortunately the answers have to be in simplified or traditional characters, or in pinyin. For the pinyin, try entering the tone number after the word (like this: ting1shuo1ta1kuai4jie2hun1le). Hope this helps.

Looking forward to hearing your answer,
