Writing Chinese

I would like to write Chinese characters in response to the dictation questions in self-tests, and also in future posts. How do I go about that.

You have to configure an IME (Input Method Extension) for your computer.  Exactly how to do that depends on what kind of operating system you use.  After that you would probably enter pinyin and select characters off a pop-up menu.  There are other choices than pinyin, but my guess is that would be the most appropriate.

I hope that is enough of a hint that you can look up the rest of the details on your own.
