Chinese novels for learners

Hi all,

 

I'm upper intermediate level and I'm starting to look for reading material (not textbooks) and I'm after suggestions. I want to find short-ish novels that I can work through in Chinese with a dictionary to give me practice of quickly recalling characters.

 

Any ideas?
