Offline TTS - iPhone and Mac

Can anyone recommend affordable, good text to speech apps for the iPhone and Mac don't don't require internet access?

Online I know there are many, like Google Translate, which goes too fast, but what offline alternatives are there? If you can't think of any offline, what online suggestions do you have?
