Text in Podcasts missing on iPad and iPhone

after not using ChinesePod for a while and upgrading my iPad and iPhone to iOS5 I found that I can not see the text anymore when playing the podcast.
Before the text was shown by simply tapping the screen once while the podcast was playing. The picture of the beautiful girl then became darker and the text was all there: conversation, vocabulary, sentences, ...
This for me is a key feature (both listening and reading) and now gone!
What is it, a bug in the podcasts or did Apple cancel this feature?
Thanks
Steffen

November 06, 2011, 02:32 PMI was right, it is an Apple iOS5 bug. Here's a link to the apple support discussion board - there's a lot of unhappy users out there . . .

November 07, 2011, 12:58 AMOne more reason I upgrade as rarely as possible... I think iOS4 had been out for 6 months before I finally allowed myself to be talked into upgrading.

November 07, 2011, 02:40 AMHi all,
I just want to confirm with you guys that this is indeed a change Apple made. This functionality still exists on iPods, but for some reason was removed from iPhones and iPads.
Definitely a weak point to an otherwise okay new version of the iOS.

November 06, 2011, 01:38 PMI think it's an Apple problem, as I subscribe to other podcasts, and none of them now show the text, though all did before upgrading. There's probably some obscure setting that got changed, as the artwork is gone from all my podcasts as well.
