there is no new lesson on my home page but sometimes this means I suddenly find I'm not subscribed to an old lesson channel for mysterious reasons or that a new lesson channel has come out. But a quick check in the library's latest lessons only shows that BST is the latest lesson. Also no sign of anything in the Community comments section. Now I also find that at sometimes of year the lesson comes out at 11am Brisbane time and then sometimes it seems to switch to midday here [presumably it's got something to do with daylight savings, though we don't have that here in Brisbane]. But it's now 8 minutes past midday and I'm starting to wonder because usually you can set your watch by what time the days lesson is released. Any hints?

November 07, 2011, 05:39 AMMaybe they post based on the time in the USA, which just yesterday evening began their daylight savings time for this year. (China doesn't do daylight savings time.)

thanks. I think you're probably right. I did think of that because the server is in the US, but I still thought the release might be to do with China, but that makes more sense.

(even though I am a Queenslander by birth and it is popularly thought that daylight saving fades the curtains or something) but 'why should our lives at ChinesePod be affected by daylight saving in some other country?' Can't we (ChinesePod) just leave it to 'the computer' to work out our normal service time and adjust the podcasts so we are not inconvenienced? Even when we are travelling? The dashboard insists on saying where I am in the world so it should be able to deliver lessons on time.

I've just realised that the Dashboard has changed in this respect; my location is now in my Account Settings.
