The return of the old avatars

I've noticed that my avatar has reverted to one I was using several months ago.  I think this has also happened to a number of the other regular posters.  Is this just a by-product of last week's site maintenance?

Oh yeah, and completely overlooked that. My potato 饼 have gone and I am back walking the shady footpaths of 昆明.

Oh yeah, what a cool concept (despite four years of school French I couldn't get it without Googling). I get that all the time and thought it was to do with getting old. I guess that as I get older I will get more and moreJamais Vu until everything seems new, every day. Sounds close to bliss.
