April 27, 2007 at 03:54 PM posted in General DiscussionWhat does it mean when the little person figure in my Watchlist is blue? That person is signed in, has a new post. What does it mean for me?

Sunday's are for naps and reading. People should not work on Sundays. It's Sunday here in China and looks like everyone's blue.
Is it THAT much fun to work at the (whip'crack) Cpod factory? ;p Then again, maybe they're all 'remote' or 'offsite', that's what I used to say when I worked from my 'offsite' Wifi Starbucks office. 在外地的办公司做工. 在另外办公做工. 哎呀,坦白说我在家里窗睡衣上网!

April 28, 2007 at 03:42 PMWhile I think they would be blue on any given weekend like they are now, don't you know what happens in China before any major holiday such as the 5 day break next week? OVERKILL!! Err... I mean, OVERTIME! My roommate who works for an American company even has to work all day Saturday and Sunday to make up for the vacation time that he even has to sleep at the company. I say that now, but after watching the Saturday Show it sounds like they already are on break this weekend. CPod, you deserve the break! (but I do hope there are a week load of lessons! :)

Oh yah, forgot about that! Brings me flashbacks of your excellent on-the-ground post about this absurd pre-holiday workup.

It's past 5:30 pm and lots of you are still there!

Lantian,
We are at work today, Saturday... :(
It's because of the week-long May holiday coming up.

Yah, cause if it was real-time, then everyone is at work today at Cpod, Saturday....

It supposed to mean they're currently online, but I don't think it works in real time.

as long as I do not switch my network connection I often stay logged in even if I shut down the computer. Makes life comfortable for us users, but probably hard for that blueman group to our right. Maybe CPod needs to add an inactivity-status later.
If the CPod team really *is* still at work that would be really scary, even in combination with a pyjama party...
