May 15, 2013, 10:49 AMThanks mate. Yeah, I've gathered that here at least, streaming seems to be the thing now, so I guess that applies elsewhere as well, but i haven't gotten into that and I was looking for downloads, and happy to pay on legit sites...just don't want any dodgy sites with risky downloads. This site gave a top 10:

but I was just wanting to canvass current opinion.

Ok, I have used Baidu, come to think of it, occasionally, for music, and images - it is very good.
I don't think google.cn is accessible anymore in China.
Some of the others I recognise (like a Buick, or a Maserati) but I haven't driven them. I don't know which is the Buick and which is the Maserati. I think you'd be safe with Baidu. It's the Volkswagon in the music download business, it's everywhere. I heard that they bought Skoda.

May 15, 2013, 10:36 AMHi Baba, Can't say this is a high priority of mine, yet, while there is plenty of Chinese music around, but what do you think of the numerous Chinese radio stations? For example I have an app RadioOn I use for listening to Australian stations - that sort of thing will get you hundreds of radio stations playing Chinese music. I'm sure you'd zero in on your favourite stations in time.
Of course, this is streamed content ...
There are the usual sites like QQ, pptv, www.funshion. Usual warnings about unwanted advertising apply. To make myself clear, I don't download from these sites to save onto my computer, I just use streaming.
Hope you get something more helpful on that from others.
