January 23, 2008, 02:00 AMSeems to be working now. Below is the response after I sent an e-mail. ---- Hi James, We apologize for the inconvenience. Our technical team are currently working on it already, I would advise to try to sign in at a later time. Thanks for your understanding. Marco

January 22, 2008, 04:35 PMSince the change mentioned in the certificate pop-up is to a server within the same domain and since it coincides with the recent server work, I think we can confidently rule out "fishing" -- but, you're right. Team CPOD should probably say something to put everyone at ease. I'm guessing they don't see the problem on their end.

January 22, 2008, 04:31 PMExactly as for me... OK, this could be a minor bug at ChinesePod, if that is the case, it's no biggie. But possibly it could be something more sinister (fishing). If anyone at CPod is reading this - I believe it would be a good idea to investigate.

January 22, 2008, 05:41 PMYep - same thing here. I figured since the end was still "praxislanguage.com" it was probably okay. Still, it'd be great to get it taken care of so folks aren't worried. :- D

January 22, 2008, 07:45 PMSame problem with me, every time I log on. Calkins, I agree that the reference to Zaire is a bit worrying - surely thay would be based in the US? ChinesePod, I think you need to look into this fast. More than anything, it's just plain annoying!

January 23, 2008, 01:22 AMThawte is a major player in certificates and is 100% legit. Yes, their corporate headquarters are indeed in Cape Town. CPod, just needs to get a new certificate set up...

January 22, 2008, 04:58 PMGood to learn that I translated the message box of my Chinese Firefox roughly correct. Always get nervous if Firefox pops up messages with lots of 安全 in them and then requests my 确定 ;) Here my transcription of that message box: 您正在尝试同"crm.praxislanguage.com"建立连接。 但是, 他出事的安全证书却属于"seure.praxislanguage.com"。 So: Yes, same here.

January 22, 2008, 04:21 PMjust today it started asking me every time I log on if I want to proceed due to safety certificate uncertainty or something. Never had it before. I just click yes and proceed.
