Flashcard Issue - iOS

Hello,

I am having an issue using the Vocab/Flashcard portion of the app on iOS, both iPad and iPhone versions. It seems when a deck size exceeds 200, the app crashes. I contacted support a few times on this, but it seems to still be an issue.

Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed? Otherwise, I will explore exporting options into other apps/software.

Thank you.

One other thing that annoys me is sometimes when you swipe to go to the next character it takes you back to the main flash card menu. The amount of times it's happened is irritating.

Let me guess....you're not the person that designed the backend :-)

Hi Thomill,

We are aware of the outstanding vocab issues. The problems are a result of poor design which require a rewrite of the backend.

Applogies for the inconvience - in the mean time podster provides great alternatives.

If you have an iPhone you might want to buy Pleco software and include the flashcard feature.  It is very powerful and flexible.  Also, you can export vocabulary lists from the CPod web site to your iPhone if the computer and iPhone are on the same WiFi network.  Pleco and Anki are probably the most popular flashcard programs among students of Chinese, but I dont' have experience with Anki.  Both use a spaced-repetition system ("SRS") to help reinforce memory, which you are not getting with the CPod app.
