New Layout

Some other ChinesePoders have already mentioned the new layout, but I wanted to put in my own two cents. The appearance is somewhat cleaner, but the design is problematic. For example, the new method for listing courses in each course library makes managing previously studied lessons unnecessarily difficult. While the old design provided a simple, navigable list of courses, the new design makes finding a course frustrating and tedious. Also, the disappearance of the pinyin popup feature and the click-to-save words feature is disappointing. I find the sudden lack of such features has only drawn my attention to their importance to my ChinesePod learning experience.

I second the course library list point. When I go into the library, I want to quickly see which ones I've knocked off and which are still new to me. The title list with tickmarks was clear and quick. Can we get a toggle setting to see the old view?

What happened to the pinyin popup in the Expansions section? For those us that do not read Chinese or have no interest in learning to read, the popup pinyin was vital.

I now have have to cut copy and past the sentance or word into Google translate..............

It looks like I may have jumped the gun on the popups issue. It seems to be working for me now, so it may have been on my end. My gripe with the list still stands though. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
