Disposable Chopsticks and the Sky is Falling

There was a front page article in the Wall Street Journal on Friday about the environmental debate in China over disposable chopsticks.

Banned in Bejing: Chinese See Green Over Chopsticks

The story contains a Chinese saying:

Qǐ rén yōu tiān (杞人忧天)

This translates to the "people of Qi worried about the sky" which has become an idiom meaning to "worry without reason". This reminds me of Chicken Little and The Sky is Falling story. I wonder if they have any relation.
