I frequently hear chinese speakers from Taiwan,Hong Kong,Singapore and Malaysia use 有 followed by another verb. Eg:- 你有吃过吗?,你 有 看过吗? Is this gramatically correct? Can 有 followed another verb? Or shall we omit the 有 and just say 你吃过吗?,你看过吗?Please help。

Hi guys

I also sometimes tend to say "你有看过吗?", hehe. I just found an interesting example in a book on Chinese dialect I have. The phrase "我有看" in Hokkien (福建话) means "我看了/我看过" in Putonghua (普通话). So it's possible that some southerners mix up "我有看" and "我看过". I think Tarcy's hunch is right. Incidentally, "你没有看过吗?" is a correct sentence, isn't it?
