April 05, 2008, 03:48 PMWell..... yes i think i have downloaded it from the adobe site. what i do is click on the win file, if i try and open it comes up with the invalid file or if i download it to a folder and try to unzip it comes up with invalid file. Also the mouse over function on the flash cards does not work, but it does if i click on the speaker icon, maybe the two problems are connected

April 05, 2008, 04:41 PMI'm on a Mac, but I just downloaded the Windows version to see if I'd get the same problem. And I did. Got the following error message when trying to open the zip file: An error occurred attempting to expand 'pinyinchart_win.zip'. The archive may be damaged. Error #17537 So it looks like it's a CPod issue. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it for you. In the meantime, do what I tell everyone to do...burn your Windows-based PC and buy a Mac ;)

April 05, 2008, 08:49 PMI don't really get why the pinyin chart needs to be download only, surely it could just be on the page itself?

April 06, 2008, 11:35 AMthanks for the help and advice, as an engineer i often get too involed with the mechanics of learning a language and forget to actually learn the language. But i must say i do like CPOD.

April 05, 2008, 03:43 PMI believe the chart is Flash-based...I assume you have that installed on your computer. You can also open the pinyinchart.html file from within the downloaded folder - it should open the chart in your internet browser.
