Praxis lessons

May 23, 2008, 07:59 AM posted in General DiscussionThe new Praxis (not Practice Plan) ads + the appearance of Marco at Frenchpod hint at a facinating possibility: Now that you have so many language experts from all parts of the world concentrated in one place - why not take the chance of producing a few linguistic cross-language Praxis lessons?
Where you compare linguistic and/or cultural peculiarities across languages?
Or even more interesting: Similarities. Where are surprising similarities between Chinese and French? Or among Russion, German, and Chinese? The road to Universal Grammar...
Not serious stuff, and probably only one each month would be enough. Moderated by an applied linguist graduate? I bet this would boost interest in the other languages.
