Poddies on Twitter?

Curious -- do any Poddies use Twitter? I'm fascinated by how such tools can be used to facilitate learning and interchange.

Well, it enables more modes of communication -- via cell phone, etc. -- than the ChinesePod site currently does. It's also terrific for learning -- I follow several Chinese friends and their friends, and get to "eavesdrop" on their conversations. I pick up things from them all the time. Honestly, though, I'm not really sure, but I'm curious to see if anything comes of it.

I just use my Twitter account to lurk and listen to other people since I don't have anything interesting to say.  Although with a Twitter client like Twhirl, I sometimes use it as a less obtrusive form of instant messaging.

twitter only steals my time that can be better used e.g. for learning Chinese.
