In chinese, you can 养只鹦鹉做朋友 (raise a parrot and make friend with it)

Or 养只鹦鹉作伴儿  (raise a Parrot and be its companion/better-half)

It's worth following the link to see another sign:

"MONK CHAT"

This hangs above an outdoor cafe where a dozen orange-robed Buddhist monks sit at tables waiting to chat with you. What a nice idea, how relaxing, we could do with that in England.
