ChinesePOD Forum - Deletion of Inactive Users

Posted by light487 August 18, 2008 in the Group General Discussion .

Hi Everyone.

The current state of the forums is still in the re-development state as I struggle to learn how to make the page look professional yet not unfriendly. The reason for this post though is to let you all know that I have begun to active and delete inactive forum users.

I have just performed a very large deletion of users on the forum to clean it up a bit. So if you joined the forums before 1st June 2008 and never posted a message there, then there is a very good chance your forum account has been trashed. This is not to say that we don't want you to participate in the forums, or continue to not post. It was just easier than going through, literally, thousands of inactive users and deciding which ones were legitimate and which were spammers. So just join up again the next time you are interested.

Also for those of you who have attempted to join more recently, and you are still waiting to be activated, either reply to this conversation or send me a PM here. And for those of you who are attempting to join from now on, either be patient or reply here on this conversation or send me a PM.

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused people who only go to look at the forums but with almost 3,000 inactive users to sort through manually, it was a decision I had to go ahead with to cut down the workload.
