Using "le"

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a lesson on using le please? I tried to search it but it came up with nothing.

My basic grammar book tells me it is studied in the intermediate one which I don't have as yet.

For example: li xiansheng likai le san geduo xingqi le  - here it is used twice but in,

mama likai yingguo yi ge yue qian  - it is not used at all.

Hi zani11,

李先生离开了三个多星期了。(李先生离开三个多星期了。)

both “了” in the sentence you gave above mean a finished tense。（ have /had done.）

And妈妈离开英国一个多月前。 It means mom had left Britain about one month ago. （一个多月前，妈妈离开了英国。）
