Does anyone of you know how to create a lesson set? I can't find this anywhere.... Thx!

It is pretty confusing.  It took me a few tries until I figured it out.  I think CPod should make it easier and/or more clear.  Here's how I've done it:

1.  Go to your Me page.

2.  In your My Archive box on the right side, click on Manage Archive.

3.  Next to the Show: pulldown menu, click on [Edit Labels].

4.  At the bottom of the page,

5.  Click the icon next to the label you just created.  Enter the information.

6.  Go back to Manage Archive (from step 2), and add lessons to your new set.

There may be a simpler way to do it, but that's the only way I know how.

It'd also be nice if there were a direct link to create sets, from the Lesson Sets page.

Calkins, thank you so much! Accidently i created a label yesterday, but got lost in adding lessons :-). I suspected the option to be in the lesson or sets tab and could not find this in the help section or in the vid either. I thought it was a really silly question to ask haha. Thx again: i'll give it a try! Btw. I agree with your suggestion, seems more logical to me and that is also where i looked!

ChinesePod, there is another issue I found with lesson sets, once they've been created:

If a lesson (within a lesson set) is marked as studied, it is removed from the lesson set.  That makes sense if the lesson set is private, but if it is a shared lesson set, then it's bad for others who could benefit from that lesson.

Unless, the studied lesson is only removed from the creator's set and stays in the shared set for everyone else to see (in that case, I'd be impressed).  Would you please either confirm that or fix it so that studied lessons aren't removed from the shared set?  Thanks!

chanelle77, you're welcome, I'm glad it helped.  I see you created a nice "Office" set...one of my favorite series!

I see you just posted one of my problems... Well I tried to create the office set and somehow 8 lessons disappeared twice and I gave up :-). It doesn't make sense to me why my removed lessons are also removed from public sets. I can only create a public set (that is here to stay) when I studied all the lessons? Maybe I am doing things awfully wrong, but with my comp. sci. background I think I should be able to do such a simple task hahaha....

I think the whole lesson proces is quite a hassle. Also, I think i should be able to create lessons from (my / the) total archive and not the "me" one which only displayes a few current lessons. Also there are other users sets displayed in my lesson set area (not the public ones: i think they have something to do with the guided sub, I did that once).

Unfortunately it just doesn't work very nicely. I decided to leave the lesson part for what it is now ;-). Too much trouble i think!

I agree, lots of kinks need to be worked out.  It's too painful to work with in its current state.

Maybe instead of a computer science degree, you need a degree in rocket science :)  Sorry, bad joke I know.
