Atlanta, GA, Poddies Group.

After three and a half years as an expat in Hong Kong, I will be moving back to Atlanta, GA in December.  If there is anyone in Atlanta who would like to join a Chinesepod conversation group, please contact me and I will try to organize one.  We could meet periodically at my home or go out for Chinese food and practice our Chinese.  In Hong Kong I have participated in a group of this sort and have found it very rewarding.  Don't worry about your level, we are all learners and even those of higher levels can learn by helping others.  The most important thing is desire.  So let me know if you are interested and I will try to get something going after the holidays.  It will be great to meet other Poddies and maybe we can even convince Vera(my Chinesepod teacher) to visit us.  What do you say?

I won't be able to participate in your meetup, but will be thinking of what fun you all will be having when you do get together : ) It must be both sad and happy to be leaving Hong Kong and returning home after such a long stay. Good luck in your endeavors!

Come on Atlanta poddies!  Don't be shy.  I know you are out there.  It would be so great to get a practice group together.  I'll do the organizing, you just have to show up and listen to my terrible Chinese.  How bad could that be?

Hi Barbara, such a good idea. I do know some ones who study Chinese in Atlanta. I will tell them your idea. I also hope I will have a chance to visit you in Atlanta. :)

My husband and I live in Atlanta and Vera is our teacher also. We would be interested in meeting for Chinese study. We are both at beginner levels (though my husband is a little more advanced).

Any more of you out there?  This could be a good opportunity for all of us to get together to practice.
