2008年国内流行语 - Top Ten Catchword/Phrases of 2008

Well, it is that time of year again, a time to look forward to a new chapter of life, and a time to reminisce back upon the year that has come to an end.  For all you " 俗语 （Su Yu）Gurus" out there, CRI Online (国际在线) has compiled a list of the Top 10 most catchwords/phrases of 2008 as voted on by the readers.

They have a 国内 list and also a 国际 list (translated into Chinese.)

Topping off the international list is from the Great Iraqi Shoe Attack of 2008.

"小心我拿鞋砍你啊"

 

Interestingly, the number one originating from China is

"山寨"（hrrm i think I saw that somewhere recently on this site)

 

There are many interesting little bits on there with detailed explanations.  I will let those interested take a look for themselves.

I would be interested to hear everyone's view of which they think is best. Maybe there are some missing you think should be added to the list.
