January 13, 2009, 02:46 AMHaha, that's a rather horrific photo. It's just like seeing the temple from behind the tusks of Godzilla. I was a little surprised when I first saw this photo because my hunch immediately told me that it was not taken in China, but apparently in Korea. I guessed it right!
I usualy use the word "扫雪" (sao3 xue3). Maybe it's the most simple way to say "to clear snow" in conversation.

I'm surprised you didn't put the famous chinese name for the Stalactites and the Stalagmites.
钟乳石 (Stalactite) is the hanging breast (rock)
石筍 (Stalagmite) is the raising bamboo shoot (rock)
Actually, I don't need explain more ... the joke is so obvious and perfect for memorization !
