Which IM are you using?

IM is a kind of software, which in Chinese is called "即时聊天工具". Nowadays, many Chinese use QQ or MSN which are the best examples of IM. Then, what is your IM? Is that also QQ like most Chinese do?

Hi alexyu_yxj

I think you can count the number of non-Chinese QQ users on one hand. But they have just released an English version, so that may start increasing.

有人说,很多色狼使用QQ泡姑娘,真的假的? 呵呵。

我想是吧,不过更多所谓的“美女”使用QQ进行非法“裸聊”(大概翻译为“nakedly chatting”)。

In reverse order, these are the IM clients I use:

  • MSN - rarely sign in any more
  • Skype - cross platform video conferencing
  • Google Talk - client/network of choice clean simple and useful, minimal bloat.

I have accounts on the following, but rarely sign in:

  • ICQ
  • Yahoo
  • AIM
  • QQ
Tend to favour using Twitter & email these days. Seems to give me a reasonable mix of features.
