I'm looking for a chinese saying that could be a short and precise equivalent of Vae soli (~ you're doomed if you walk alone).

独立当时临近死亡的

or with the rare character 踽 (jǔ) walk alone
踽踽独行当时临近死亡的

Any ideas ?
