藍貓

Right then. For some reason I cannot say 藍貓 as in 多拉A夢 是個藍貓. Instead I always pronounce it 懶貓. I know this might not seem like the greatest error in the world, unless you're speaking to a robotic cat from the 21st century, but I have become quite obsessed with trying to say this 2nd tone/1st tone word to the point of repeating it out loud in public. I have no problem with other words, eg 國家, 台灣, etc. Does anybody have any suggestions to save me from further public embarrassment?

davoslamos, just wondering--is 熊猫 xiong2mao1 a problem at all?  How about 蓝天 lan2tian1?  Sorry for the simplified.

蓝猫 doesn't exactly roll of my tongue either. I can say it but don't enjoy saying it.  To hazard a guess, the first syllable ending in -n followed immediately by the m- probably is an icky combination, added to the main vowel in both syllabes being "a".  An expert better come to the rescue here though.

Thanks zhenlijiang. I'll try my lan2tian1 out on a native and see what happens!
