Hello all. I have recently discovered youku.com which basically looks like a Chinese youtube with full episodes of programs.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any Chinese childrens programs or cartoons that might be be good to watch at a newbie level? Im thinking something along the lines of a Seseme Street equivelent.

Thanks

Hi Vallance

This is not Youku-wang (优酷网), but Tudou-wang (土豆网), which is another well-known illegal download site in the PRC. The anime "喜羊羊与灰太狼" (Pleasant Sheep and Big Bad Wolf), which is now very popular among Chinese children, should meet your needs. They are all subtitled in simplified Chinese.

Haha, having studied the Tai Chi lesson quite a lot recently, I was thinking at the time "I wonder when I'm actually going to next see the word for grasp/grab" - and here it is, a week later, in one of these cartoons. :D
