Newbie Video: Chocolate Cake

July 26, 2007 at 11:51 AM posted in General DiscussionThis is awesome... it's like this mother and little girl purposely had a Newbie-level conversation just for your benefit!
The little girl may be a little hard to understand (kids often are), but the mother repeats a lot of it quite clearly.

MOM: 好吃啊,你跟吗说你在吃什么?
KID: 巧克力蛋糕。
MOM: 巧克力蛋糕,好吃吗?喜欢吗?
KID: 喜欢,谢谢老妈。

This is an excellent newbie lesson. Btw, the mother speaks with a Taiwanese accent.

Awwww...that was better than my "Sarah makes dumplings" I made in Shanghai since she was too into 包饺子! While at the same time I was trying to get her to speak more English (yes, that voice is mine). But when I asked her to "Show me how" she thought I was saying "Ni hao!" ha ha.
