In fact, my own hand is more beautiful. The hand you see is a metaphor, a stand-in, a body double. It's a human hand, and henning, we're all the Buddha, 难道你不知道吗？

What bothers me is what bodily features the Chinese are not into. Historically, butt*cks were under no selective pressure in China, probably on account of the (hopefully now defunct) practice of crippling concubines' feet. Only the upper part of the female body mattered. The result, after X generations, is a desastrous waist-to-hip ratio in otherwise strikingly attractive creatures. Brazilian plastic surgeons will get rich once once global male preferences start to take their toll.

我有一男一女。我儿子的皮肤和我一样非常白，相反，我女儿的皮肤和她妈妈一样很黑。我女儿当然不服气，老对她弟弟生气地说“男人有雪白的皮肤到底有什么用？要是我们俩换过来就好！” 女儿呀，你可别怪我，这都是你妈妈惹的祸！
