I must say with Shanghai Expo looming [starting May 1st] I'm a little surprised there has not been more talk of it.I'd love to hear Poddies suggestions [best time to go,places to stay, how to avoid/deal with the crowds hehe],tips, thoughts [best or most anticipated things to see, ticket types and where to buy]...basically any comment related to Shanghai expo. Here's a link about it:

And here's another:

..and here's a link to the Aussie pavillion:

..maybe some comments from Poddies about what they like and dislike about their home countries planned pavilion.

I'd also like to see some related lessons,if possible.

Fantastic idea for a thread Bababardwan!

I was also going to ask people what their favourite pavilions were! I think all of them are going to look amazing, however I am particularly impressed with the UK pavilion (slightly bias I know...!) and also the Swiss pavilion with their chairlift!

Thanks ousijia. The Swiss was one of my favourite Pavillions when Expo was on in Brisbane back in 1988 partly because it had indoor artificial snow and we'd never had that in Brisbane before [at least to my knowledge] but most people's favourite was the German festhaus...what a fabulous atmosphere that had....basically a continuous party for months on end.Ah,they were the days....and with Expo coming again there's no reason those good times can't be had all over again.Jiayou !!

I met a girl just last night who's been working for the Coca Cola Pavillion - I had no idea there were corporate/commercial pavillions!

Apparently they're all located on the Puxi side of the river, whereas the pavillions representing countries are on the Pudong side.
