Do you use online resources to practice oral Chinese?

Hi, everyone!! I'm a Chinese girl majored in Teaching Chinese as A Second Language. Now I'm working on my paper about online oral Chinese learning. I'm wondering where and how leaners practice their oral Chinese online?

It would be very helpful if you leave some ideas here~~

not sure what formal online resources exist to actually practice speaking online.  Not sure I would consider skype an online resource, but I use skype. I tend to speak with local Chinese on the street, and also use shadowing, again, not an online resource.

If you're not in China, and you can't find Chinese on the street, what would you do to practice? Will you use skype? How will you use it?

I use Livemocha's oral exercises. It's quite good because after you've recorded your Chinese speaking you get feedback from natives in China. They'll tell you which tones are not correct and even read the whole text for you to listen. Also, if you look hard enough and choose carefully, you can find someone you can skype and learn talking Chinese with.

I also find Nciku very "relevant" for teaching oral Chinese. It is relevant because you can learn what you want to know when you want to know. So it is easier to learn and remember. Enter a Chinese word in Nciku and not only it gives you the meaning of the word but also example sentences (written and oral) of various ways the word is used in communication.

I think for self learners, Livemocha and Nciku are essentials for learning oral communication using online approach.

Yes, I went to the websites you talked about. I think Livemocha is pretty good. I think it's important to practice oral Chinese with real persons. I asked most of my foreign friends, they use online resources most for reading and often use it as a dictionary. But I want to find how internet(website) can contribute to oral practice~~

It's very nice you give me the information~~
