Hello teacherhelen,

What day and time works best for you to begin my assessment or guided conversations?

I chose a couple times for this Wednesday, but I'm not sure which one works best for you.

If you can provide my your Skype user name, I can also add you to my Contacts list, if that is OK. Mine is Murdocke23, but I am blocking requests except those on my contact list.

I think my level is actually Elementary, not Newbie, but I am out of practice, so we'll see. :)

I should mention that I finished Pimsleur Chinese audio lessons levels 1-3, but after not talking much for so long, I've forgotten many of them. But I did understand them all at one point.

One book I was going through was "Chinese The Easy Way" published by Barron's (ISBN 0-7641-0659-7). I made it over halfway through, but didn't finish it.

Although I can't speak them very well, I also understand pronunciation and tones fairly well. I also understand stroke order for characters, and I can also use a Chinese dictionary (although it's often not clear to me what radical to use).

I have been studying more traditional characters, so I will have trouble reading simplified versions. But I don't know that many anyway, and will hopefully get used to simplified ones going through lessons with you.

有沒有一個容易的辦法下載錄音課?

的時候我走履去辦公室,我要用我的iPod聽取我的中文課, 但是我沒看一個容易的辦法下載

(I used my dictionary to help me with the above.. I don't know all the words :) )

In case my Chinese is wrong: is there there an easy way to download the audio lessons? I am downloading them one at a time to add to my iPod, so I can listen to them when walking to work. If there was an easier way to download the Guided Lessons like the personal ChinesePod RSS Feeds, that would be very nice, but I don't see such a method.
