There seems to be a big mistake here and I am sorry I didn't catch this earlier. But I didn't didn't intend to be on the guided plan when I extended my subscription for another year. That's why I haven't contacted you. I have sent several notices to different departments at ChinesePod and hope this can be cleared up. I also hope my subscription can be changed back to Premium and that I can be refunded accordingly because I have not used any aspects of the "guided program".

We are terribly sorry for the trouble. Thank you very much for your support. From Sept.29th to Oct.5th we will have one week off—National Day Holiday in Mainland. I wanted to let you know that I am planning to switch back to the premium plan and asked Adi if it would be possible to do this. I wanted to extend it to one year. My reason for making the switch from "Guided" to "Premium" is because I feel I never have the time to use your counseling services. I mostly use all of the other wonderful things you offer and they are all covered under the Premium plan. Although I would love to continue having you as a counselor I feel I just don't have the time to do so on a regular basis. Also I feel like I may have to actually get a "live" tutor that I have to see face to face on a regular basis because I am so undisciplined about my studies........hee hee. Anyways I hope this is okay with you and I want you to know I really appreciate all of the help you gave me in the past........

对不起，I am still trying to adjust my time to my new work schedule 因为  我  太 忙 了 我  没 有空  学习 汉语 。 I have been starting to use the method of writing Hanzi by inputing Pinyin on the keyboard. (Ming bai le ma ?)
I like this because I am able to study the characters better.
Anyways Vera, I will have to see how my schedule goes. If I don't have enough time I may have to switch back to the "Premium Plan" but I will wait and see how my work schedule goes. 周末 愉快

I am a little confused as to how I use the community section. I don't quite understand how you can participate in on "conversations" about various topics. For example I was reading something last week where people were talking about other technical problems with the new PDF's. But now I can't seem to find this conversation. When you get a chance I would appreciate some help.

Hi Vera,

I found two more PDF's on the IPOD that are not correct. They are "Olympic Swimming" and "Ordering Xiaolongbao". I noticed that the Olympic Swimming was correct about 3 weeks ago when I first used it but now it isn't. I know that you have been making changes recently on the PDF's so I wonder if the technical people are aware of these problems. I will let Adi know. I checked the other assignments and they are fine so far. 

Also I don't think I will be ready to take any kind of test at the end of next week. I believe you mentioned that on my guided plan you would prepare something for me. But with the problems I had in the beginning with the program and my own busy schedule, I have not had as much time to devote to studying.

Why don't you let me know when you are thinking of scheduling a test for me okay ?

Everything seems to be working fine now but I have one last problem . I know I have asked you do this before but under my "me" section of assigned lessons, half of the lessons disappeared and I am not sure why. It happened after I was changing my Archive and deleted all of the Intermediate and Newbie files. Anyways I still have the list you gave me so it's not a big issue, I was just wondering why they disappeared or how I can put them back in under the "assigned " section.

Hi Vera, I recently deleted all of my ChinesePod lessons in ITUNES  so I could make room for the 20 latest Elementary Lessons. (This is what Adi told me to do in order for me to continue receiving RSS feed downloads)I also have only checked marked the Elementary section in my personal RSS feed to make this simpler and clearer for both of us.

 But now I cannot download anything. I have tried using putting my RSS ChinesePod address in the "open stream" and "subscribe to podcast" sections of Chinesepod but it does not work. I can't even get the daily downloads now. Is there something wrong with my RSS feed that I should talk to Apple about (I use a Apple computer, does that make a difference ?????) I am starting to get frustrated again because since signing up for the guided plan I have had nothing but problems with my downloads.........I feel it shouldn't be this difficult just to download your lessons particularly when I am paying for them and also because being able to download your lessons is the main feature I am attracted to about your program......Sorry if I sound irritated again and I realize that some of the problems have been on my end of things. But I think one of the main problems is that ChinesePod doesn't not have a very detailed set of instruction plans for first time users that is "AUTOMATICALLY SENT" to all people purchasing plans.  What I mean is that I shouldn't have to figure all of this information out on my own on how to keep using your program. and keep having to ask you questions......Ming bai le ma ?????  I feel like I am wasting time here and also wasting your time in having you have to answer these type of question on how to use your program.  This should be the last thing a subscriber to learning something new should have to worry aboutl.......I really think you should show this letter to your boss seeing as how I am a language instructor myself.

I apologize for getting so excited about all of my "wenti". Actually it is my fault because I did not read the words carefully. I see now that the lesson starts off by saying "bookmark" and after you click onto it it says "bookmarked".

So it was my fault for the misunderstanding. I also was able to figure out where the "missing lessons" were under my assigned lessons. I didn't wait for the "numbers" to change between "Active" and "Studied". I realize if I click onto "mark as studied" the lesson goes into the studied file .

Anyways thanks for being patient with me, I tend to get a little excited..........

I am still having problems though downloading files. Recently I tried to download "Buying a Bouquet of flowers", Have you been to Beijing, Borrowing and Returning.  Also I am not clear as to why I have so many "assigned" lessons when you only gave me 20 to begin with......?

Questions, questions, questions, ......i look forward to your answers......

HUANG HONG JIE HAS MANY QUESTIONS AND MUCH CONFUSION..............

Okay Vera I am going to just write in English because I have many questions to ask you. 

First of all when you gave me the lessons plan I went to look at "My Lessons" clicked onto "assigned" and there they were. But then you didn't tell me that if I click onto the "marked as studied" label that they would totally disappear. The reason I clicked onto the label is to change it to "bookmarked" which is what I was told to do by Adi in order to download the lesson. But instead the total lesson disappeared?????? (Could you please put back all of the lessons that disappeared for me back into this "assigned area" or let me know how I can do it myself.  

Are you confused as I am yet about what I am saying ????????

I love ChinesePod but I have been having some difficulties with the way things are organized. I posted some questions about this in my Posting area. 

There is a lot of confusion on my part about what it means to "Bookmark" a lesson and how to do it. As I understand it when you see the words Bookmark you just click onto the label and it automatically or is available for the RSS feed.  But then instead of saying "This lesson is now Bookmarked" it  now says "marked as studied". And this is very confusing because I haven't actually studied it.......ming bai le ma ......A more appropriate label would be as I mentioned before "Bookmarked Lesson" i.e past tense of Bookmark this lesson. ( I am only telling you this so you can improve ChinesePod......)

So I am still having trouble downloading all of my intermediate files. Which I "Bookmarked" supposedly. But then Adi told me that in order to Bookmark the lesson it has to say Bookmark. not "marked as studied".

The bottom lines is I still can't download all of my intermediate files whether they are marked as "Bookmarked" or "Marked as studied". 

Also I know there is a place somewhere on the website that shows the actual number of lessons assigned and the names of the lessons. I clicked onto it once but can't seem to find it again. I do have your little below but as  I mentioned before I would really like it if I could have all of the assigned lessons back in one place again. I PROMISE I WON'T HIT THE "MARKED AS STUDIED" label to remove them. 

Sorry for all of the confusion Vera, but it has been unavoidable.......
