I guess 好了 means it is ready now, 

(how do you say "it works?")

We say"现在好了/现在可以了"just mean it works now. It is fine/good

repeat old=review is fu4 xi2 复习,

mix is hun4 混. mix A with B is "ba3 A he2 B hun4 zai4 yi1 qi3" (把A和B混在一起)
