April 21, 2009, 05:54 AMStrangely enough, I found this note:
on my way to work in Lund, Sweden. I take this as a sign that I should hook up with this channel again.

February 03, 2009, 09:02 AMWhat about 250==idiot? What does it come from?

Do you have any explanation?

December 18, 2008, 05:17 PMYou should have taken a more complex radical from the start, like 钅, 犭 or 纟. Now it looked like some high school students doing a project called "REN2".
As most other said: You can do WAY MUCH better than this.

September 25, 2008, 11:58 AMI have to rephrase that question a little bit; since I found a clue in wenlin: 母 female (of animals);
Does that mean that I can speak of 母牛 and 母鸡?
And the male counterpart?

September 25, 2008, 07:32 AMEven if I adore the contextual minimalism of chinese, during this lesson I came to think of how to differentiate between animal genders.
How would you say e.g. 'ox' in relation to 'cow', 'cock' in relation to 'hen'?
is it simply 男牛,女牛, 男鸡, 女鸡 ?

September 22, 2008, 03:01 PMWhat would be the pattern for commenting on a thing that you have done say once, but never again?
"I once tasted 榴莲 and I will never taste it again."

September 14, 2009, 05:49 PMI almost never have time to comment here, and seem always to hear the episodes too late to be in the main comment swoosh, but I have to chime in:
FAREWELL PETE!
It has REALLY been fun and enlightening to have you at Chinesepod throughout the year.
At almost the same time as PWP ended, I found a couple of hand written Tang poems on the pathway to work, which made me go back and learn all the poems by heart.
Thanks Pete for the wonderful inspiration!
